Those who know me, know that I live and breathe design. Website design, graphic design, product design, UX (User Experience) design—you name it, I’ve designed it.
If there is one thing that I have learned in my decade-long career, it is that ALL good design is created by people, for people. Design is human-centric first. Always.
Emergn is a global digital business services firm with consultants and educators helping some of the world’s most successful companies. They help businesses improve the way they are bringing their best ideas, products, and services to market.
As the Senior UX Designer at Emergn, I was involved in a variety of projects with different objectives. I facilitated the product vision of clients by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products.
Aegon Group provides retirement, workplace savings, and protection solutions to over two million UK customers.
At the Aegon project that I was involved in, the UX objective was to meet security requirements for the client. This was a complex and multi-layered project since it is essential to provide the bank and its customers with safe user journeys that allowed zero opportunities that may lead to a hijacked account. I led the UX Design of the security aspects of the product. The team I led was responsible for creating a user experience for multi-factor authentication, account activation, and other security-related user journeys.
SAP S4/HANA business capabilities discovery game
SAP reached out to me to create an engaging solution for discovering SAP S4/HANA business capabilities. SAP S/4 HANA is a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution from SAP.
I proposed to approach this problem by using —the process of validating ideas and solving challenges through prototyping and testing those ideas together with your customers. My proposal was received astonishingly well since no one had tried to take that approach before.
I realize it is only our first ‘sprint’ week in the design of our new digital game, but I must say today’s review fully exceeded my expectations.
The fact that I could easily navigate through a mock-up and obtain an easy to consume view of the approach and work that had been completed during the week to reach that outcome (via Miro) was not only impressive but invigorating.
I started teaching UX design motivated simply by my passion to share my knowledge and experience. With time, it has now evolved into a full-fledged UX/UI training program for people who want to start a UX career.
As the Founder of Idea Partners, I wear many hats to lead the company and guide it towards our mission of helping keen students with a genuine interest in UX/UI design to transform their careers. So far over 40 alumni have successfully graduated from our programs.
Just like every seasoned UX designer, I have paid my dues as a hardworking freelancer for several years. During my freelance years, I helped numerous individuals and companies to create their ideal products—from initial product sketching to the final product launch. I was a one-person product team and I leveraged my understanding of technical limitations and business strategies to transform ideas into design and code.
